Andreas Iliuta is an Italian concert pianist with Romanian origins. Born in Milan in 1991, he began studying the piano at the age of three.
He graduated from the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan in 2013, in the class of Prof. Vincenzo Balzani.
He later continued his Master's studies under the guidance of Prof. Anna Kravtchenko at the "Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana" in Lugano, Switzerland.
Passionate about both the interpretive and pedagogical fields, Andreas obtained in 2016 "Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy", and in 2019 "Master of Arts in Music Performance" in piano performance, graduating with the title "Magna cum Laude". The meeting with the pianist Anna Kravtchenko was fundamental for his artistic growth.
Constantly concerned with his concert development, Andreas had the opportunity to come into contact with illustrious masters such as Franco Scala, Jin Ju, Michel Dalberto and Riccardo Risaliti, within the prestigious International Piano Academy "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola - Italy, being admitted as a student in 2007.
Andreas Iliuta stood out in numerous public appearances, being invited to perform for the president of Romania - Klaus Iohannis and for the mayor of the city of Milan - Giuliano Pisapia, on the occasion of the opening of the International Exhibition "EXPO 2015" in Milan.
Also, in Romania he is often invited on TV shows, on several national networks such as Digi 24, TVS, Trinitas TV, and TVR2.
During all these years, he combined his studies with an intense concert activity.
Over time he had the opportunity to perform in numerous events, including the "Liszt-Mahler" Festival in the "Sala Verdi" in Milan.
Andreas made his debut in Romania in 2011, at the age of 19, with the Oradea State Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by maestro Dumitru Goia, performing Rachmaninov's Second piano concerto op. 18.
After this concert, numerous collaboration opportunities followed, including with the "Mihail Jora" State Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacău - Romania, the State Philharmonic Orchestra Sibiu - Romania, the CSI Lugano Philharmonic Orchestra - Switzerland, the United Soloists Orchestra - Switzerland, the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Pitești - Romania.
Andreas collaborated with conductors such as Ovidiu Bălan, Emin Güven Yaşliçam, Gabriel Bebeșelea, Marc Kissoczy, Federico Crisanaz, Arseniy Shkaptsov, Theo Wolters, Jankó Szolt.
During all these years, he stood out in numerous national and international piano competitions obtaining various prizes, among them: 1st Prize - "Concorso pianistico internazionale Isole Borromee", 1st Prize - "Concorso pianistico internazionale Verbano", 1st Prize - "Concorso pianistico nazionale LiBe 3000", First Prize - "Concorso pianistico internazionale Miro", Third Prize - "Concorso nazionale città di Giussano", Third Prize - "Concorso pianistico internazionale Lamporecchio", First Prize - "Concorso pianistico città Piove di Sacco", First Prize.
In addition to the concert activity, Andreas Iliuta also expanded his activity in the pedagogical field, becoming in 2021 a full professor at the piano department of the I.C.S. Manara from Milan – Italy.
He is currently a PhD student at the Doctoral School of the National University of Music Bucharest, under the guidance of Prof. univ. Dr. dr.h.c. Valentina Sandu-Dediu.
